We are probably a bit biased, but we think that the area around the Manor House is beautiful and full of interesting things to do! Godalming is a picturesque market town with a pretty high street and a small selection of shops, whilst nearby Guildford is a busy, affluent town with great shops, restaurants and entertainment.

We are very proud of our kitchen and the food we produce, but if you are with us for a few days, we do understand that you might like a change of scenery. There are some nice places to eat within a few miles of the Manor House, both formal and informal and we are happy to make some recommendations, all tried and tested by our team.

If you do get a chance to go and explore, there's quite a list of places worth a visit. There is a downloadable sheet available containing a summary of these and we have also provided links to the websites (where available) in case you want to find out more. Most of the places suggested here are within 15 minutes of the Manor House and none are more than 40 minutes away (Denbies and Polesdon Lacey being the most distant). If you would like to ask more about journey times or arranging transport, please call us to discuss further.
